| Ann & Mick  Welcoming and friendly, with great tuition from John and Betty. Latin, Ballroom, Sequence and the occasional Line Dance – we’ve learnt them all! You meet and make new friends at their lessons and dances – all of which have a great social atmosphere. So whether you’re a Beginner like me, or more advanced, J & B is the Best Place to Dance! Imelda and Frank We have been going to J & B’s dance lessons for about 3 years and we have really enjoyed every minute of them. We give 10 out of 10 for their excellent tuition. Every dance move is very well explained by these experienced teachers, with lots of patience and commitment. We would also like to say that their weekend dances are a delight, for we hear lovely music and meet wonderful people. These dances really are a joy to be part of. Thank you J & B. Michelle I joined J & B Dance back in September 2009 and have enjoyed every minute of every class immensely. Betty and John are two very professional, high calibre teachers. They present every class with an enormous amount of enthusiasm and their attention to detail is phenomenal. I really can’t praise them enough. I, personally, had always wanted to study the medal tests, but had lacked the confidence and was slightly concerned about the amount of work the medal tests would entail. When J & B started the medal tests in 2010, I eventually joined in on the fun in the September. By December the whole class had passed the Pre-Bronze dances with Honours! Now all that remains for me to say, is a big thank you to Betty and John – the credit is all yours. And, of course, I’m looking forward to the Bronze. Chris & Bob Sometime ago my husband and I received a present from our family – they paid for us to have some class lessons and a private lesson with J and B Dance. What a fantastic present! Bob and I had so much fun and made several new friends , so we just naturally carried on going to the dance lessons after the gift voucher ran out. The dance lessons are great and the classes are mixed age groups so we have never felt out of place. If you are ever stuck for an idea as to what to get as a present, we can say that this gift voucher is one of the best we have ever received! We have also been to the Sunday Tea Dances and Saturday Evening Dances that John and Betty run ---the music and atmosphere are both GREAT. They also run parties, so we have booked them to DJ at our 35th Wedding Anniversary/ Bob’s 60th Birthday. Lance I started to learn dance at the age of forty-five because I was tired of being a “wallflower” at parties, and wanted more fun in my life. Betty and John were very patient with me in the early days and soon helped me to develop my confidence and belief that I could actually learn the routines! The classes are very relaxed, but there is still an emphasis upon technique and high standards of performance. I was very proud to receive Honours at Pre-Bronze level last year, which again helped prove to myself that I could dance well in front of a top professional! Most important of all, I’ve gained a whole new circle of friends through “J & B Dance”, and now have a very active social life, which I never had before. It sounds hackneyed, but since joining “J & B” my life really has changed for the better! Sylvia I have had such happy times over many years at John’s Tea Dances at Christ Church Hall, North Finchley. Although I cannot dance to a Medal Test level I have always been made welcome and encouraged to enjoy dancing to the lovely music provided by John. So why not come along to our hall and experience good company and let dancing give you a new lease of life! June & Ivor J and B are a delightful couple, who, not only make you welcome but obviously enjoy themselves by joining in the dancing. Their music is the BEST. So danceable and if you just want to sit, is easy listening too. Anita & Malcolm Thank you, Betty and John, for giving Malcolm and I the opportunity to practice our dance moves in a safe and enjoyable place over the last 7 years. Also, and this is really important to both of us, we’ve made some wonderful friends and we look forward to seeing them at your weekend dances.
June & Ron We have been going to John and Betty’s Weekend Dances for a number of years now, and enjoy them so much we rarely miss one. John and Betty are both very friendly and always find time to have a little chat to everyone. They are always willing to accommodate requests. The music just makes one want to get up and dance, and the dancers are warm and friendly which makes for a great atmosphere. You can always count on John and Betty to provide your favourite dances to wonderful music and to create a very friendly atmosphere. Lucia & Toby We always enjoy going to J & B’s Dances and have done so over a period of several years. We find there is a nice atmosphere and by now we know many dance couples who, like John and Betty, are all very friendly people. We particularly like their selection of MUSIC which we think is fantastic -- a wide selection of popular dance music, well known international songs and famous hit tunes -- all of which just makes us more happy to dance. We also like the tea/coffee break for it gives us time to chat and make new friends. We would certainly recommend these events to dancers who have not tried them yet, for we are sure they would enjoy the experience. See you there! | |
